The journey from the north coast of Devon through New York to Colorado was a tremendous adventure for Imogen Young. Susan Coolidge describes vividly the ordeal of her journey through a bewildering land, and amongst the strange people, across the Atlantic. Once in Colorado, Imogen met Katy and Clover Carr and her friendship with them changed her bewilderment into an experience as wonderful as it was exciting.
