Juliet Overseas

This story of New Zealand Juliet at her English School, Queen Elinor's, is one of Clare Mallory's own favourites amongst her immensely popular books, and is sure of a warm welcome.  The characters are extremely vivid, not only Juliet and her House Captain, Cara, who plays such an important part in the book but trucculent Bee, Inez who cannot get any history reference right, Lise the dabbler, gentle Faith, redheaded Phyllida with her flaming temper, Twigs Greentree, little Nicky.  Readers of the Merry series know how real are this writer's people, and will be eager to meet the girls at Queen Elinor's.  Other readers, for whom Juliet is an introduction, will want to read the three Merry titles and Pen and Pencil Girls, also Clare Mallory's new books - Tony Against the Prefects and The New House at Winwood.
