Picture of Moonfleet

1970 reprint. Illustrated by F R Exell

Rubbing to edges and corners bumped. Spine and covers creased. Pages browning.

Most of the inhabitants of the tiny village of Moonfleet are either smugglers or fisherman, so it's no surprise when 15-year-old John Trenchard gets involved in the smuggling busness. Eventually he's forced to leave the country with a price on his head, and only returns to England after al long and difficult period abroad.

Moonfleet is a classic adventure yarn. It evokes beautifully the atmosphere of a Dorset fishing village two hundred years ago, and is filled with action and mystery.
