Paddington Helps Out

Third impression September 1973. With drawings by Peggy Fortnum

Rubbing to edges and corners bumped.  Spine faded with small tear

'Oh dear' said Paddington, as everyone turned to look at him accusingly.  'I'm in trouble again.'  Somehow trouble comes naturally to Paddington.

What other bear could upset the whole cinema by standing on his seat to boo the 'bad guy' in the cowboy film?  Or drip ice-cream on the people below?  Only Paddington could flood the launderette and saw Mr Curry's kitchen table into little pieces - not even on purpose!

But when your head's so full of ideas, like Paddington's, some things are bound to go wrong.
