First published in 2007, we felt it was time to reprint Prefects of the Chalet School, the final book in EBD’s Chalet School series, especially in this centenary year of the publication of The School at the Chalet (which we shall be publishing later this year).
The story takes place in the second half of the summer term, following Althea. It is the last term for the Maynard triplets. A quiet afternoon has a near unhappy ending and examinations, sports and the Sale all produce their own excitements. This term the Prefects find them have even more varied duties to perform.
Romance is in the air—and the term ends with a very popular engagement (so the blurb tells us, but how popular is it among fans?).
Included is a short story, 'Trust Mary-Lou!' by Adrianne Fitzpatrick.
