Spine and corners bumped
This is the first of three Books for Girls, published in 1947. It contains The Mystery of the Chalet School, not serialised but which takes up the first 65 pages, as well as three other short stories, and four articles, not all of which were by Elinor Brent-Dyer.
GGBP have published The Mystery of the Chalet School in 2004 and 2014, and the short stories were published in 2004 in Elinor Brent-Dyer Short Stories. The articles have not been published before, and neither has the book as a whole.
There is a colour plate (which will be reproduced on our back cover) as well as numerous black and white illustrations.
Publication of The Chalet Book for Girls forms part of our celebration of the centenary of the publication of The School at the Chalet.
