The Coming of Age of the Chalet School was last published by GGBP in 2008, and was voted for our reprint for early 2026 by those who read the Friday e-newsletter. When published by Armada it had very major cuts, with whole chapters missing.
The main celebration is at the School and masses of Old Girls appear. Groups of girls also are taken to the Tiernsee and Joey, Simone, Frieda and Marie accompany the Prefects there for a wonderful weekend.
The term finishes with the Annual Sale and Sports, during which Miss Bubb appears, becoming an object of universal compassion when she collapses.
Katherine Bruce will be writing a short story where Madge holds a party to share with a group of Old Girls who were not able to make it to the celebrations at the School.
