Daneswood was surprised when at the beginning of term, Nicola who was said to be ‘eighteen-nearly nineteen’ joined the sixth form as a new girl. Daneswood went on being surprised, for really there was something most odd about Nicola, a real mystery … but this particular puzzle leads to a very happy ending.
