The story of Kit Haverard, 'the dratted little Quaker', is continued.  Now she has left school and, gradually, 'Way opens' for her to study singing.  She has to leave home and take a job in London; her life is crowded and eventful; but the wise teaching and advice of Papa Andreas ensure that after a year of hard work progress has been made.  The story, is however, but no means over - tragedy is to come, but also great happiness.
