The Spring of the Year, is the third title in the series. We are introduced to Kit’s niece, Laura Haverard. In the Spring of the Year, Laura’s family discover and move into Priory House in the quiet village of St Merlyon. It was also in the spring that the foundations of her friendship with Kate Whittaker were laid, that she sat for the fateful grammar school examination, and that she distinguished herself as Ariel in the village production of The Tempest.
