The Wrong Chalet School is set on the island off the south west corner of Wales. Katherine Gordon arrives as a new girl, but it soon transpires that all is not well with her arrival. What has gone wrong slowly emerges, and it not really resolved until the appearance of Katherine’s Aunt Luce. But in the meantime, term proceeds on its way, with Katherine learning how to be a Chalet girl. It is discovered that Katherine can play tennis, and she takes centre stage in chapters XVIII and XIV, but there are plenty of other happenings, and we meet many other members of the school. Joey is of course in Canada, but that does not stop her getting involved, not only in Katherine’s business but also in providing something for the end of term. And the Juniors are not out of trouble…
