Fairly good dustwrapper which is worn and torn at edges and has some staining and foxing. Fep and frontis missing. Foxing to inside boards and compressed page edges.
The three Werters, Charlotte, Hanni and Trudi, have always lived in England, but they had a Swiss father and their mother owns property in the Bernese Oberland. When they learn that they are going to visit the high Alpine village of Kandersteg, perhaps to live there altogether, their reactions are very mixed. The story is full of the Swiss atmosphere, and the various references to familiar places give the book a special interest for those who know Switzerland - whether you have been there, or have indulged in armchair or online travel.
